The 8th University Journalist Festival of Hunan Province Inaugurates
Themed with “Encourage youth to build China together”, the Eighth University Journalist Festival of Hunan Province was inaugurated in the lecture hall of Yifu Building in Hunan University on the morning of Nov. 30th.
The University Journalist Festival of Hunan Province is held annually orienting to the medias and student journalists of the institutions of higher learning in Hunan Province. It has built a communication platform for the university medias in the province and created an initiative brand of campus media. Entering the 8th year, the session had a series of new activities in addition to the conventional ones, including media forum, media workers symposium, photo shoot in Changsha, an election for “Top ten journalists in college student’s eyes”, and “Top ten domestic and international news concerned by college students in 2013”. The election results of “News Contest”, “Microblog Record Contest” and “Top ten college journalists” will be declared at the closing ceremony.
This festival was co-hosted by Hunan University, Hunan Journalists Association, Hunan Daily Press Group and Hunan Broadcasting System, and organized by School of Journalism and Communication & Film and Television Arts of Hunan University. Student journalists from more than 20 universities such as Central South University, Hunan Normal University and Xiangtan University participated in the event.
,Chen wei, vice secretory of the CPC Hunan University Committee, made a welcome speech on the opening ceremony. Then, Gong Zhengwen, vice president of Hunan Broadcasting System and Xu Yong, vice-general manager of Hunan Daily Press Group addressed respectively.
