HNU Holds 2014 Domestic Annual Conference of CEA UK/Europe

The 2014 domestic annual conference of Chinese Economic Association (CEA) UK/Europe was commenced in Changsha on April 19. Discussion was focused on the theme of “structural transformation and China’s open economy development”.

Lai Mingyong, vice president of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee and professor of Hunan University, attended the conference and delivered a speech. He said that the Hunan economic development is dynamic because transformation and development complement each other.

Participating specialists and scholars delivered speeches on themes such as “demand growth and supply improvement: reposition of China’s foreign trade development”, “The heterogeneity of enterprises and the distortion phenomenon of Chinese enterprises’ export”, “the construction of free trade area under open economy”.

In the meantime, the conference also held 10 special academic forums on the structural transformation and Chinese open economy development, the transformation of trade and investment growth pattern, labor market and income distribution, energy environment and sustainable development, the reform and exchange rate policy of financial market.
