National Collaborative Innovation Center for Culture Soft Power Established
The 7th High-level Forum on China’s Culture Soft
Power Research & Meeting of the Council of National Collaborative Innovation
Center for Culture Soft Power” opened at the lecture hall of Chinese Academy of
Social Sciences (CASS) on the morning of May 6. The forum was hosted by the
National Collaborative Innovation Center for Culture Soft Power Research and
undertaken by Hunan University (HNU). Nearly 100 experts and scholars from 22
institutions of higher learning and research institutes attended the event.
Zhang Guozuo, director of Chinese Research Center for Culture Soft Power, and
HNU President Zhao Yueyu presided over the forum.
The National
Collaborative Innovation Center for Culture Soft Power, formerly called the
Chinese Research Center of Culture Soft Power, is oriented to the comprehensive
improvement of China’s cultural soft power. It aims to meet the nation’s urgent
needs, work at the world leading standard and with advanced mechanism, and
realize huge achievements. By ways of deepening cooperation, establishing
strategic alliances, promoting resource sharing, integrating policy, production,
education, research and application, and encouraging collaborative innovation of
all walks of life, it will give a lift to the cooperating organizations for a
sound and sustainable advancement in the cultural soft power innovative research
ability. The center is expected to open a publicizing and communicating channel
of China’s culture soft power research and become a world leading research
center and data base of culture soft power.
